Idiocracy, Mudbound, Midnight Special
If Moid and Dave were paying attention, they would have realised that the Winter Olympics started this week and they could have reviewed something like Cool Runnings or Eddie the Eagle. Don’t panic, they’ll have their shit together by 2022.
Moid follows his OFFICE SPACE review from a couple of weeks ago with another Mike Judge directed comedy. This film has been recommended by so many people, lets hope it scratches that Beavis & Butthead shaped itch.
Dave fell for the Netflix commercial hoodwinkery and watched this tale of racial oppression. Certainly not a Winter Olympic film.
28:15 MIDNIGHT SPECIAL
Moid has had this one in the cupboard for a while. Described as a slow-burn-emotional-sci-fi this shows off the talents of Jeff Nichols, the man behind another often overlooked favourite, MUD.
35:40 GOING CLEAR: SCIENTOLOGY AND THE PRISON OF BELIEF.
If you believe anything you read about these guys, there is every chance that this is the last ever Snakeskin Movie Lounge podcast due to a lawsuit from Tom Cruise because of the less than favourable comments made by Moid in this review. We say it was worth it.
49:35 THE UNITED COLOURS OF SNAKESKIN
No listener feedback this week. Instead, we welcome a smorgasbord of new countries to the Snakeskin family. Hopefully the slightly dodgy accents haven’t frightened them all off before they get settled in. Welcome everybody.
The Snakeskin Movie Lounge is a fiercely independent podcast. We are commercial free, not part of a network and totally self funded. The only payment we accept is a 5 star rating and review on iTunes, it really helps like minded people find the show.
